Camp Seewackamano is nestled on 37 wooded acres with a lake, hiking trails, playing fields, and two high-low ropes course in the Catskill Forest Preserve. Our goals are to keep children and staff safe and provide positive learning experiences. Our trained caring staff are positive role models that teach core Y values: caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

Counselor in Training-entering 11th grade LITs and CITs must apply to participate in the program.
Camp is open from 9am until 4pm Monday through Friday; June 26, 2023 through September 1, 2023. There are five two-week sessions, though you may register for one week at a time. Tuition includes bus transportation throughout Ulster County! Pre or post camp care is available and located at the YMCA in Kingston NY for all sessions of camp.

Each day is jam-packed with activities to keep your camper having fun and trying new things. There is an opportunity to swim every day (weather permitting), and a rotating schedule allowing your camper to try all of the following activities during the session: archery, high & low ropes (ages 8+), field games/sports, arts & crafts, 4-square, gaga, drama, nature walks, fishing, boating, swimming, and more!
Stay tuned for any updates to our 2023 season operations related to COVID-19. Please be prepared to share your child’s immunization history and general medical history during the registration process. Per Department of Health requirements we must collect camper and staff immunization records annually.

L.I.T. and C.I.T Program
Leader in Training and Counselor in Training programs aim to provide leadership opportunities for aspiring Camp Counselors and teach basic job skills. Each session they are assigned a Counselor and camper group to work with, they will assist in the daily operations of the camp day, and have daily social periods with their peers. Counselors in Training are given increased responsibility.
