Reopening Guidelines For Camp

Please see the following guidelines for all of our camps:

  • Follow all applicable CDC guidelines.
  • Staff will be masked.
  • Frequent hand washing will take place.
  • Frequent, thorough cleaning will take place.
  • Staff and campers will have their temperatures read immediately upon arrival or before boarding the bus (Seewackamano).
  • Assigned bus seating will be used to limit shared spaces.
  • Social distancing practices will be used as much as possible.
  • Outdoor play will be prioritized.
  • There will be increased ventilation when time indoors is necessary.
  • Out of an abundance of caution our organization has decided to operate under 50% of our permitted capacities. We may open up registration further should conditions improve and allowed then by local and state officials.

New York State may be on PAUSE, but New York’s YMCAs are standing together to make sure our emergency workers have safe and engaging childcare options.

In times of crisis, New Yorkers always pull together to support their community and that’s what our Ys are doing right now. Because our Ys Love New York. #YLoveNY

Here’s a message from some of our YMCA CEOs who are standing together to serve their communities during this difficult time.
