2024 DAY CAMPS
YMCA of KINGSTON AND ULSTER COUNTY
Exciting News for 2024
We are thrilled to share that after much hard work and dedication to the development and continued improvement of our three camp programs (Seewackamano, Starfish, and Wiltmeet), we have earned accreditation status with the American Camp Association (ACA)! ACA accreditation means that Camps Seewackamano, Starfish, and Wiltmeet submitted to a thorough (up to 290 standards) review of our operations by the ACA — from staff qualifications and training to emergency management. American Camp Association collaborates with experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American Red Cross, and other youth-serving agencies to assure that current practices at the camp reflect the most up-to-date, research-based standards in camp operation. Seewackamano, Starfish, and Wiltmeet and ACA form a partnership that promotes summers of growth and fun in an environment committed to safety.
ACA helps all accredited camps provide:
- Healthy, developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Discovery through experiential education
- Caring, competent role models
- Service to the community and the environment
- Opportunities for leadership and personal growth
We are looking forward to summer 2024 and cannot wait to utilize resources gained from our exciting new partnership with the American Camp Association to make each summer better than the last for our campers.
Stay tuned at the end of this month for information on registration and financial aid for next summer

CAMP FINANCIAL AID
FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION PERIOD: JAN 1-MAR 31
Please download this form to apply for financial aid for camps Seewackamano (SWK), Starfish (STAR), and Wiltmeet (WLMT).
Please return your completed application and supporting documents requested in step 4 of the application to our Registrar Bianca either in person, though email, or by fax.
You may drop off your application and documents to the front desk of the Y at Bianca’s attention: 507 Broadway Kingston, NY 12401
You may email her at email@example.com
Or you may fax the documents at her attention: 845-338-0423
Financial aid determinations will begin to be made and awarded in mid to late February.
If your family wishes to officially secure your camper’s spot in camp before aid is determined, you should use our online camp registration system to complete the registration process by remitting the required deposits per session. Your camp account will be credited or refunded for any overage in deposit or overall camp balance payment resulting from a financial aid award later granted.
Awards, for Camps Seewackamano and Wiltmeet specifically, will be offered for only ONE two-week session of camp (per child). Awards, for Camp Starfish, will be offered for ALL six weeks of camp (per child), if so registered. No camp aid awarded through this program will be 100%, so you will likely have some camp balance to remit after aid is applied to your camper’s registration. We require a $100 deposit per session to secure a spot in Camps Seewackamano or Wiltmeet; $50 per week to secure a spot in Camp Starfish.
